This story is a continuation of, An Echo in the Bone, which is part of the popular Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon. Therefore, many characters are also present in MOHB. The story begins in June 1778 as the world is in chaos, with the English finally withdrawing from Philadelphia and George. W prepares to advance from within the Valley Forge.
Jamie Fraser was thought to be dead but is not, and he finds out his best friend married his beloved wife. The 9th Earl of Ellesmere soon also discovers and is distraught by the fact that he in indeed the son of Jamie whom I should add is a criminal and a rebel. Also, Jamie’s nephew has come to the revelation that his cousin is seeking to create a relationship with Ian’s Quaker wife.
Claire Fraser is in relations with a Duke called Benedict Arnold and is fearful that one of her husbands killed the other. Jumping to the 20th century, Brianna, who is the offspring of Jamie and Clare, is hoping things will be better than in the 18th century. Luckily for Clare, her son is snatched, her mate has suddenly disappeared from the present, and she is left with the threat of a ruthless criminal with only a stapler to defend herself. Her daughter though is armed with a small cricket bat and her mother’s attitude.
